Around 70,000 patients have transfusions in Irish hospitals every year, or 1,000 each week. The hospitals requirement for blood is now 6% higher than it was this time last year, it has never been a better time to donate blood and possibly save lives.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service Board (IBTS) wish to thank all donors in Limerick for their valued support in 2023.
