Social Accountability in Health Professions Education, 1pm-3:40pm, Wed 8th June

Written on 05/24/2022

Dear colleagues,

We would like to cordially invite you to attend our upcoming virtual seminar on Social Accountability in Health Professions Education, taking place online from 1pm-3:40pm on Wednesday 8th June. Social accountability in health professions education refers to the role of educators, institutions and other stakeholders in local and global communities, and our responsibilities in considering, engaging with and responding to the priority health needs of those communities in our teaching, research, and the provision of high-quality, accessible and appropriate care. This is the second event in our “LiSSA” series (Limerick Seminars in Social Accountability), which aims to promote core concepts and values of social accountability in our institutions and beyond.

We have a number of international speakers joining us in June, as well as representation from the Mid-West. While our first seminar in January 2022 provided an introduction to this important and evolving area in health professions education, this event will provide tangible examples of social accountability in practice from around the world. We hope it will be of interest to educators, researchers and clinicians from a range of disciplines. Please find attached a detailed agenda, along with the event poster.

You can register using the following link: Social Accountability Seminar or use the QR code included on the poster. Our agenda can be found here. The zoom link will be sent closer to the time.

We look forward to seeing you all next month.
