Health and Wellbeing and the Drug and Alcohol Service are pleased to announce that the new Integrated Alcohol Service is now ready to take referrals and to work with service users in relation to addressing their concerns around alcohol use.
- The IAS Team provides counselling, case management and key working to over 18s resident in the Mid-West, where alcohol is their primary issue of concern and works from a harm reduction model (including abstinence); matching treatment and treatment goals to client needs informed by the vision of Health and Wellbeing.
- Access to the service is via drop-in screening, with service users self-referring. Referrals into the service from other professionals are not necessary.
- The team works from an integrated model and will work in partnership with other acute/community HSE services and partner organisations in the wider community, statutory and voluntary sectors.
- Our work includes: Screenings, Key Working & Case Management, One to One Counselling, (Face to Face & Remote) Family & Concerned Person Support Work, Support Groups, Controlled Drinking and Work towards Abstinence. We will also work with other services through shared care plans where clients have complex needs.
