Infection Prevention and Control e-learning courses now available on HSeLanD. The programme includes 8 modules:
1. Infection prevention and control and antimicrobial stewardship explainer (no credits)
2. Basics of infection prevention and control and antimicrobial stewardship
3. Hand hygiene
4. Standard and transmission based precautions
5. Anti-microbial stewardship
6. Personal protective equipment
7. Respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette
8. Aseptic technique
The Programme is now live on HSeLanD and is available through the new IPC and AMR button on the HSeLanD homepage.
The courses have been accredited by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (NMBI gives 7 points and RCPI awards 14 points). Staff will receive credit for each course when it is completed and do not have to complete all 8 courses.
